Barbara Ruth Gregory Cook

Barbara Ruth Cook, age 81, of Kirby, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

She was born on January 27, 1940, in Daisy, the daughter of William T. Gregory and Sarah Leona Jackson Gregory. On May 22, 1958, she was married to the love of her life, Bobby R. Cook, who preceded her in death on September 28, 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon Gregory and Floyd Gregory; and one sister, Geneva Golden.

She was a member of the Midway Nondenominational Church. She had a passion for reading, enjoyed traveling any chance she would get, and loved going to church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Barbara will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Kim Cook of Kirby; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Chris Baldas of Arkadelphia and Michelle and Larry Gilbert of Kirby; six grandchildren and their spouses, Melissa and Jeremy Turner, Matthew and Carrie Jo Cook, Mikki and Jason Smith, Heather Lovewell, Christin Baldas and Chris Gilbert; fourteen great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Carter, Jayla, Kenyon, Mikaila, Jackson, Grace, Montana, Jace, Jasper, Joslynn, Christian, Maddy, and Keegan; her sister and brother-in-law, Reda and Joe Ledbetter of Murfreesboro; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. George “Boots” Donaldson and Bro. Kenny Fant officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery.
