Betty Martin

Betty Jo Martin, age 82, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away January 5, 2022. She was born June 4, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ellen Pullum and William Yancey. She is survived by one sister, Elaine; three brothers-in-law; four sons, Steve (Teresa), Tim (Angie), David, Jerry (Sherry), eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Alex. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Earl Martin Jr.; two brothers, Leroy and Billy; and one grandson, Adam.

She was known for her love of Soaps and Elvis. The family knew she was taking a sudden turn for the worse when she couldn’t look at Victor on the Young and the Restless or dance a jig to a tune of Elvis. She was a life-time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a dedicated financial supporter of the VFW for decades. She was the recipient of many jokes and wasn’t called “his bulldog” by her husband for no reason. Betty grew up in an age of beehive hairdos and peddle pusher pants and never grew out of it. She loved all pictures and flea markets and had many adventures through them.

Betty could not have had the quality of life she had without her son David by her side. The family truly is grateful for all he has done and sacrificed.
