Billy C. Murphy

Bill C. Murphy, age 82, died Monday, December 28, 2020.

Bill was born on January 4, 1938, in Hollis, the son of William B. Murphy and Grace Hamilton Murphy. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen VanBerg and Mildred Vonderhey; and three unborn grandchildren.

He is an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Bill retired from Alcoa. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mozell Smith Murphy; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Mike Langridge of Eldorado; his granddaughter, Ella Langridge of Eldorado; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Pat Murphy of Cabot; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Max and Betty Smith of Kirby; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

Services 2:30PM, Thursday, December 31, 2020, with Chaplain John Goodman officiating in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Social distancing directives will be in place with 66% capacity in chapel and face covering must be worn.

Pallbearers are Buddy Howell, Paul Watt, Charlie Littleton, Mack Hayes and Jim Ed Hayes.

Honorary pallbearers are Mark Clements, Bruce Pennington, Dean Clark and Chrissy Ray.
