Erma Lee Harrell, age 80, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 3, 2021 after a recent battle with cancer. She was born on July 28, 1940, in Monette, Arkansas to Lee and Merle McKinney.
Erma was saved as a child and loved Jesus with all of her heart. Her family and friends knew her as a strong prayer warrior who brought wisdom, comfort and strength to many. It has been said that Erma spoke scripture as a second language and wove it into every conversation sharing Christ with everyone she met.
Erma was known by many names - wife, sister, mother, friend, Nena, Herman and Hateful Edna to name a few! She loved her friends and family fiercely and enjoyed long talks with them. She loved getting together, and made every holiday so very special - especially Christmas!
Erma was married to Wayland Harrell on June 12, 1959 and they were blessed with 61 years together.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Grafton Lee McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Wayland and by her children Monty Harrell (Belinda) of Cabot; Marieca Ashworth (Phillip) of Conway; grandsons Adam Harrell(Laura) and Jonathan Ashworth (Charity) of Conway; Grafton Harrell (Megan) of Jonesboro; granddaughters Morgan Mays (Tyler) of Murfreesboro, TN and Laura Kate Ashworth of Conway; great grandchildren Grace, Graham and Joshua Harrell, Will, Brielle and Wesley Ashworth; her beloved sister Vickie Flenor (Terry); nieces Sara Flenor and Bethany Cameron (Cody) and a great niece Jessie Kate Cameron of Beebe.
