Gary Lewis Collins

Gary Lewis Collins, age 63, of Amity, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016. He was born on June 12, 1953, in Hot Springs, the son of Roy Washington Collins and Mary Kathleen Price Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alvin Ray Collins. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He dearly loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Sheena Collins of Hensley; two grandsons, Gavin and Landyn; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Raimon R. and Maxine Collins of Caddo Gap, James A. and Carolyn Collins of Groveton, Texas and Earl L. and Karol Ann Collins of Dover, Delaware; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Adrienne Hendrix of Antoine, Rose Collins of Sterling City, Texas, Rachel Turner of Caddo Gap and Mary and George Vaughn of San Antonio, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brady Adams, Tony Doster, Arvin Lindsey, Cody Holcombe, Daniel Holcombe and Charles Ducote. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilburn Porter, Billy Whisenhunt and Bruce Doster.
