Glenda Ann Major Lehman

July 1, 1947 — September 26, 2015

Glenda Ann Major Lehman, age 68, of Glenwood, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. She was born on July 1, 1947, in Canon City, Colorado, the daughter of Glen Byerly Major and Anna Elzene Cox Major. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Tom Crosley and Jerry Crosley. She was Christian in her faith; enjoyed sitting outside visiting and laughing with her neighbors and friends; going to garage sales; was an avid reader; had a passion for hummingbirds; and cherished and always doted over her animals. Glenda had a great and powerful love for her family, always putting everyone else's needs in front of her own. She truly lived her life for her children, grandchildren, and the most recent greatest joy to come into her life was her great-grandson, Vincent. Besides her deep love for her family, she also had the kindest heart to anyone she would meet and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children and their families, Clinton Battles and children, Milai Battles, Michael Battles and Minami Battles; Carie and Jason Baker and children, Lindsay Steiner and Daniel Baker; and Craig and Alene Battles and their daughter, Ariana Battles, and her son, Vincent Battles; and several nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful and cherished friends. There will be no formal services held. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Honorary pallbearers are Charlotte Crosley of Canon City, Colorado, Mary Margaret of Mount Ida, Betty Walker of Glenwood, who became like a sister to Mom, always sitting and visiting with her providing her comforting words and love, and to the many other friends who were always there for our Mom. Memorials may be made in memory of Glenda to the Glenwood Animal Shelter, 210 N. Second Street, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943 or to a local Animal Shelter of your choice. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
