Hazel Grant House

Hazel Grant House, age 100, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

Hazel was born on October 13, 1920, in Bonnerdale, the daughter of Lester Benjamin Grant and Elizabeth Talant Grant. Hazel married Arthur Vernon House on July 7, 1949, who passed away on October 10, 1972. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Pamela Kay House; one great-grandson, Ivan Conner Bellomy; her seven brothers, Houston Grant, Virgil Grant, W. V. Grant, Maxwell Grant, Haskell Grant, Curtis Grant and Huey Grant; her five sisters, Sudie Eady, Myrtle White, Vivian Meek, Vicie Mae James and Bennie Fay Grant.

She was a member of Legacy First Assembly of God Church for many years and loved the Lord and her church family. She was quite the talented person, she crocheted, quilted, knitted and was also a wonderful seamstress; she sewed for the public. Hazel had a green thumb with flowers and her vegetable garden; she also enjoyed canning. She loved playing dominos with her family and friends and doing word search puzzles. Hazel will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Hazel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Donald O’Keane of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Ryan and Allyson O’Keane of Bauxite and Katie and Nathan Bellomy of Hot Springs; her great-grandchildren, Logan O’Keane, Sophie Bellomy, Wesley O’Keane and Gideon Bellomy; her sister-in-law, Pattie Grant of Hot Springs; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2021 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Bro. David Meek and Bro. Gary Meek officiating.

Interment will be in the Grant’s Chapel Cemetery in Bonnerdale, following chapel service.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until 2:00PM before the service.

Pallbearers will be Gary Meek, David Meek, Grant Meek, Vance Campbell, Wally Burch and Rodney Grant.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Eden Endrulat for the wonderful care given to Hazel.
