Irene "Rena" Williams, age 83, of Mount Ida, died Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was born on May 10, 1930, at Silver, Arkansas, the daughter of Jodie L. Brown and Mary Mayberry Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her special friend, John Johnson; and her brother, Jeff David Brown. She was Baptist in her faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in her flower gardens. She loved life and will always be remembered for being a truly happy person, always giggling, who loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two sisters, Thelma Lee Casey and Ollie Egleston, both of Mount Ida; four nieces and their spouses, Sarah and Charlie Jimerson of Alma, Dean and John Zumda of Hot Springs, Jo and Richard Childress and Nina Rucker, all of Mount Ida; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 1, 2014 in the Owley Cemetery with Bro. Paul Burke officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
