Iris Ebsen

Iris Emily Ebsen 77, of Little Rock, passed away December 14, 2020. Born in Little Rock to Otis and Ida Gentry Shook, she retired from the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality after 20 years of service.  She was a member of River of Life Assembly of God. Iris loved to sing and play the piano.

She is survived by her children, Dr. Tammy Pope and Ty Ebsen (Tammy); brothers, Jerry Shook and Dale Shook; half-sisters, Debbie Borkowski (Gabe), Connie Alessi (David) and Janet Chapman; and three grandsons, Kyle (Trisha), Ryan and Bryce Ebsen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Ebsen, stepfather, Daniel Dodson, brother, Richard Shook; and son-in-law, Dr. Mark Pope.

A special thank you to the Village at Valley Ranch and Kindred Hospice for their loving care.

A private service will be held.  Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Shook, Wesley Shook, Matthew Shook, and Lloyd Pollock.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Arkansas Chapter, 10201 W. Markham St., Suite 100, Little Rock, AR 72205.
