Jim "J.R." Franklin, 66, of Searcy, Arkansas, was born September 15, 1948 in Searcy, and passed away October 20, 2014. He retired after twenty-five years with Land-O-Frost.
He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Frances (Stivers) Franklin; son Jimmy Franklin, Jr. (April); daughter Leane Franklin; three grandchildren, Maegan, Jimmy III, and Miranda; two sisters, Jean Bryant and Lois Wallace; and a host of other friends and family.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements by Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward Jim's funeral expenses, c/o Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home.
