Jimmy Greer

Jimmy Greer, age 64, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

He was born on January 22, 1957, in Huntsville, Alabama, the son of Charles Leon Greer and Gay Brown Greer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ernest Rosenbaum; his sister, Faye McGee; and his niece, Sheila Reyes.

He was a graduate of Caddo Hills High School. In his early years, Jimmy worked on the Alaskan pipeline with his father, Charles, and later was employed as a welder for many years with S&S Plumbing, where he made many lifelong and cherished friends. He loved old cars, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing golf.

Jimmy was a kind and humble man, who never met a stranger and was well loved by everyone who had the joy of knowing him. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Angie Greer Anderson and her husband, David, of Huntsville, Alabama; his brother, Tony Greer of Fallbrook, California; his sister-in-law, Sharon Rosenbaum of Bonnerdale; his nieces and nephews, Tyler Anderson and his wife, Ashley, Lacy Anderson Wright and her husband, Mitchell, Michelle Rosenbaum, Dack Rosenbaum, Roy McGee and TJ McGee; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 14, 2021, in the Bonnerdale Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery with Bro. Dale Hamilton officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, in the Bonnerdale Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
