Lillie Mae Taylor

Lillie Mae Taylor, age 96, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

She was born on December 31, 1924, in Kirby, the daughter of Solomon D. Ray and Jennie Idallia Pasley Ray. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul R. Taylor; her parents; three brothers, Floyd Ray, Elbert Ray and Herschel Ray; two sisters, Inez Neal and Ailene Walston; and a great-grandson, Brennin Gene Taylor.

Lillie Mae was a member of 70 West Church of Christ. She loved her church and church family, but she dearly adored her personal family. Everyone knew her as “Moo Moo”. Her legacy is one that we all should strive to have; Always be a good example and lift a helping hand to anyone in need. Her favorite saying was “I’ll be ok”. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Eugene and T. J. Taylor and Michael Ray and Le Ann Taylor, all of Hot Springs; five grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Brent Thomas, Sarah and Cory Jenkins, Brooke and Nick Dodd, Brett and Nicole Taylor, Ashley and Matt York; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the 70 West Church of Christ with Michael Cox officiating under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be 2:00 PM in the Ebenezer Cemetery, in Kirby.

Pallbearers will be Brent Thomas, Conor Thomas, Matt York, Nick Dodd, Hayden Dodd and Michael Brett Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers are the elders and deacons of 70 West Church of Christ.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses of Arkansas Hospice.
