Loyd Hall, age 87, of Point Cedar, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015. He was born on May 26, 1928, in New De Rouche, the son of Homer Hall and Versal Pitts Hall. On April 1, 1960, he was married to Larue Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth Hall Magby; three brothers, Junior Hall, Fenton Hall, and Houston "Sonny" Hall; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Hall and Corene Hall; and one brother-in-law, Horace Magby. He worked for many years at the Ouachita Marine Boat Plant. He is survived by his wife, Larue Hall of Point Cedar; his sister-in-law, Edna Hall of Missouri; many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Rodney Burton officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Philippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Mike Hall, Ted Hall, Tony Tart, Hunt Tart, Tim Hunt and Tylor Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be Loyd Pittman, Luke Pittman, Clayton Thornton, Kenny Risner, Kelly Hall, director, and staff of Arkansas Hospice, the staff of ICU and Third Floor of St. Vincents, Hot Springs, Dr. Troy Oxner, Dr. Fred Heinemann and Dr. John Webb, Dr. David Pruitt.
