Sue Mauldin

Sue Mauldin, age 79, of Amity, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

She was born on January 14, 1942, in Gurdon, the daughter of Winford Willie Fendley and Nora Lee Burmaster Fendley. On October 14, 1960, she was married to Erman Mauldin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Steve Risner; and two sisters, Sharon Henthorn and Geraldine Skates.

Sue enjoyed her flowers and gardening, ceramics and especially fishing. In later years, she would look forward to substitute teaching. She was a wonderful wife, mother and Mamaw.

She is survived by her husband, Erman Mauldin of Amity; her daughter, Treva Risner of Amity; three grandchildren, Steven “Bud” Risner of Amity, Shanny Risner of Hot Springs and Jan Loyd of Glenwood; and two “adopted” sons, Greg Henthorn of Amity and Dewayne Henthorn of Liberty, Texas.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 18, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. John McAnally officiating.

Interment will be in Jones Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Henthorn, Royce Henthorn, Ritchie Richardson, Seth Davidson, Arvin Lindsey and Jerry O’Connell.
