Abner (Junior) Gerald Sorrows, Sr., 73, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, August 7, 2006. He worked for Fort Roots as a Nursing Assistant for 29 years. He was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and a member of Arena Billiards.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Velma ?Trujillo? Sorrows, of North Little Rock; five sons, Steve Sorrows, of Sherwood, Abner Jerry Sorrows, of Rose Bud, Ricky Joseph Sorrows, of Vilonia, Lance Sorrows, of Lonoke and Jimmy Eugene Sorrows, of Sherwood; two daughters, Denise Patterson, of Fox Lake, Illinois and Dawana Sorrows, of Sherwood; two brothers, Ray Sorrows, of North Little Rock and Harvey Sorrows, of Lonoke; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, 19th and Maple, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. A Vigil service will be held 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
