Listen to Obituary

January 1978 came in a constantly changing world, carrying with it stories, destinies and new beginnings which will leave deep mark over the years. On January 16, on the beautiful Dobrogea land, in Constanta City, Gabriel and Elena welcomed with great joy the arrival of their fourth child, Adrian.

Along with his older siblings, Leonard, Geronda, and Virgil, Adrian filled their home with joy, laughter, and lots of energy. There has always been a strong bond between them and when one of the brother, Leonard, left for Austria, a new desire arose in Adrian’s heart to explore other worlds, beyond his native land. He arrived in Austria when he was in the seventh grade and immediately fell in love with that new world, so different, so fascinating. He learned a difficult language, adjusted to the new culture and built his own path in life with courage and perseverance under the support and example of his brother, Leonard.

Even when life brought him far away from home, be always kept his family and his native land, Romania, in a special place in his heart. He spent his vacations close to his parents, siblings, and childhood places and the longing for his loved ones never left him.

The summer of 2001 was a special one that changed his destiny forever. He met Simona, the girl who will become his lifelong companion, partner, support and friend for 23 years. Together they started a new adventure over the ocean, into a new world, on a new continent. Here in the U.S., Adrian did what he knew best, create his own path through hard work, lots of optimism and a strong desire to succeed.

Always smiling, always displaying an infectious energy, he built his own family together with Simona, the woman with whom was sharing the same roots, values, and dreams. Hot Springs became their new home. They were greatly blessed with two sons, Lucas and Markus, who became the center of Adrian’s universe. Adrian loved his sons immensely and genuinely. He became deeply involved in their education, in raising them to become strong men of an impeccable character.

Adreian was the heart of any family reunion and this was recognized by his family, friends, cousins, nephews, and everyone who knew him. He liked to gather people together to create beautiful moments and to build everlasting memories in everyone’s heart. He was always paying attention to details, with a special elegance in his behavior, passionate by everything he did.

He loved to cook; each meal was an unique and tasteful experience; every gesture displaying a truly affectionate demeanor.

He took care of those around him in simple, but profound ways, sending flowers to all the ladies of his family for birthdays or other special occasions, all motivated by his desire to bring joy around him. Adrian was a happy, cheerful, sensitive, warm and generous soul who brought light everywhere by just being there.

His life was not always easy. He went through lots of trials and changes but he always found strength to keep going in the middle of all kinds of impossible situations. That’s why his closest friends used to call him, Tarzan—the man who always found a way out through the jungle of life.

The loss of his parents left a hard to describe void in his heart. Even far away from them, he always knew that their love and prayers were sustaining him in every circumstance. When they were no more, something shifted in his soul: part of that balance broke. The pain became a burden harder and harder to bear and the struggle in his soul overwhelming.

On May 13, 2026, hi breath stopped. He was only 48. He got off too soon from the train of his life, leaving behind tears, unanswered questions, yearnings, unforgettable memories.

He also left behind the love of his family, the friendship of those who knew him and the beautiful marks of a man who lived intensely, who gave everything he had and was and loved deeply and true.

For us, the journey continues. Each person as his/her own final stop on the train of life. But we strongly believe that it will be a day in which God will wipe away any tears from our eyes and death will be no more. Until then, Adrian will remain alive in the memory of those who loved him—through his laughter, his kindness and all beautiful moments he created.

Thank you and God bless all of you who were close to him along his short journey on this earth and who displayed understanding compassion and love toward him.

A beautiful service was held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Seventh Day Adventist Church on Weston Road. Burial followed at Oak Grove Sunshine Cemetery.
