Albert Edward Darden

Albert Edward Darden, age 85, of Romance, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2026. He was born on May 11, 1941, in Hickory Plains, Arkansas to Robert and Faye Darden.

Albert was a retired construction worker and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid racecar driver and built his own racecar. He loved NASCAR and owned a used car lot. He also loved to go hunting.

He is survived by his wife; Wilma Darden, one son; Jason Darden of Beebe, one sister; Carolyn Darden of El Paso, one stepdaughter; Sandra Vaughn of Heber Springs, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many close friends.

Albert was preceded in death by two sons; Steve and Eddie Darden, and his granddaughter; Stephanie Moon.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
