Aldace Townsend
Aldace Edward Townsend, 88, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He was born July 17, 1922 in Winsboro, Louisiana to the late Nathan W. and Alice May Bradley Townsend. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and Army.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruby Tipton Townsend, of Little Rock; daughters, Karon Quay Townsend Lawson (Rick) of Maumelle and Alice Faye Townsend Roark (Jessie) of Cabot; sons, Calvin Lee Townsend (Pam) of Little Rock and Roderick "Rocky" Ivan Townsend (Jan) of Benton; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Denson Fay Townsend.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
