Alice Maud Raper, age 78, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born November 26th, 1934 to the late James and Muriel Skipper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Raper, her partner and best friend for 57 years.
Alice was a long time resident of Little Rock and worked at Prudential Insurance for many years before starting a family with Nolan. She loved to cook and to take care of others and did so throughout her life. She was a wonderful mother and wife and cared deeply for all of her friends and family.
She is survived by her son, Steve and wife, Tina of Springfield, Missouri; her older sister, Bettye Tester of North Little Rock; a nephew, nieces, cousins and many friends. Alice ("Mimi") is also survived by two grandchildren, David Lee and Stephanie Raper.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 3rd from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Road). Services will be held on Friday, January 4th at 10:00 a.m., at the Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Bob Dunaway. Burial will be private.
