Alice Shirley

Alice Shirley, age 88, of Glenwood, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27th, 2026.

Alice was born on October 21, 1937, to Delmar Earl Rogers and Myrtle Marie Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Marie Rogers; her brother, Richard Rogers; her sister, Linnie Evans; her son, Glen Malicoat; her grandson, Josh Hearn; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Malicoat.

After spending many years as a cosmetologist, Alice began working at Georgia Pacific, where she eventually retired. Alice enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her grandbabies. She also enjoyed making quilts for those she loved.

She is survived by her brother, Roy Rogers; her children, Connie Hearn of Glenwood, Gloria Roberts of Malvern, David Shirley of Bismark, and Kevin Shirley of Glenwood; as well as her grandchildren, Glenda Osborne, Jennifer Jones, Heather and Cody Davidson, Chris Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Kandice Shirley, Sasha Shirley, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Shirley, Mikey Crail, Anthony Finley, Levar Strickland, Cody Davidson, and Daven Hearn.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating. 

Interment will be held at Coker Cemetery.
