Alice Marilyn Tetrick

Listen to Obituary

Alice Marilyn Tetrick was born on April 5, 1939, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Verda and Buford Smith. In 1957, she became the first graduate of Buckeye Christian High School at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Her deep love for God and passion for ministry left a lasting impact on countless lives.

It was through her ministry that Marilyn met the love of her life, Reverend Harold Leon Tetrick. They were married in 1962 and shared 39 wonderful years together, united in both love and purpose. Together, they traveled in service of God's calling, spreading His word and uplifting others in faith. Marilyn and Harold were blessed with three children: Melody, Gregory, and Renee.

Marilyn loved her flower garden and to show her kids & grandkids the beauty of God’s work through love, care, and patience. She loved her family deeply and served as a guiding light to them all. She is a God-fearing woman whose faith was evident in every aspect of her life.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reverend Harold Tetrick; her parents, Verda and Buford Smith; her sister, Margaret Cox; and her brothers, Bobby, Wayne, and Jackie Smith.

Marilyn is survived by her brother, Richard Smith (Carolyn); her children, Melody Dickerson (Mark), Gregory Tetrick, and Renee Humphries (Jarrett); her grandchildren, Monica Ball (Kyle), Megan Boston (Tyler), Victoria Straessle (Daniel), Ryan Humphries (Aleighu), Dillon Humphries (Sydney), Makayla Dickerson, Kaylynn Stauffer (Collin), and Nathan Humphries; and her great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Ruby, Jemma, Ellie, Leo, and Kolton. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Marilyn’s family extended beyond her own blood. Affectionately known to many as “Momma T,” she had a way of making everyone feel seen, loved, and embraced. She never let anyone leave her presence feeling like a stranger.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Stonebridge Senior Living in Cabot, Arkansas for the love and compassion they have shown in her final years. They became a quick part of her family. The family would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their amazing care they provided every step of the way as she transitioned to her Heavenly home.

Her legacy of faith, love, and grace will continue to shine through all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 with a funeral service following at 12:30 PM at First Pentecostal Church North Little Rock. Private burial will be at Little Rock National Cemetery at a later date.
