Aline Jenkins, age 73, of Glenwood, died Friday, February 17, 2012. She was born on December 4, 1938, at Rosboro, the daughter of Johnnie Clay Smith and Mae Ella Josephine Spears Smith. On May 5, 1956, she was married to John "Jack" Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, J. C. Smith; her sister, Joyce Jenkins; her grandson, Deric Diggs; and her son-in-law, LaRay Williamson. She was Assembly of God in her faith. Aline dearly loved taking care of her family and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Jenkins of Glenwood; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Glenda Jenkins of Glenwood; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jackie Williamson and Barbara and Kenny Hayslette, all of Glenwood; seven grandchildren, Stacy Cowart, Becky Jenkins, Jeremy Williamson, Matt Williamson, Nicole Johnson, Kenny Hayslette, Jr. and Jessie Hayslette; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Clay Smith, Jr. of Kirby; three sisters, Lola Dollar of Glenwood, Jewel Donaldson of Daisy and Elmeda Hancock of Glenwood; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Eric Wehunt and Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Ronald Jenkins, Danny Jenkins, Dan Dollar, Hershel Pittman, Robbie Funderburk and George "Boots" Donaldson, Jr..
