Allen "Brett" Henderson

Allen “Brett” Henderson, age 64, of Hot Springs, passed away on May 8, 2023.

He was born on July 18, 1958, in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Bobby Joe Henderson and Ruby Gobert Henderson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and paternal grandparents, Guy and Zelma Henderson.

He was a Christian in his faith.  Brett graduated from Henderson State College with a Business Degree.  He worked for the Corp of Engineers and VA Fort Roots.  He loved refereeing and coaching soccer, golf, fishing, and playing darts. Brett was known for dressing up like Santa at Christmas and going to daycares to delight the children. He also went above and beyond for accommodating children with special needs. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. 

Brett is survived by his wife, Cathy, son and daughter-in-law, David and Crystal Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Gary Robertson; four grandchildren, Landon, Krystal, Annakyn, and Ellie; brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Debbie Henderson; sister and brother-in-law, Kelli and Ted Hall; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, May 12, at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, May 13, 2023, with Rev. Doug Walker officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Oma Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Gary Robertson, David Henderson, Doug Walker, Landon Henderson, Joel Henderson, George Anderson, Jay Morris, Michael Curtis, Robert Gibson, Ted Hall, and Bob Biles.

Honorary pallbearers are, CHI St. Vincent, and Christus Dubuis nurses and staff.
