Alma Davis, 96, of Austin, Arkansas, was born September 27, 1912 at Osceola, Arkansas, to Henry and Delia (Cushman) Cooper, and she died Tuesday, June 23, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Slim" Davis; two brothers, Jack and Peck Cooper; and a sister, Savilla O'Hara. Alma is survived by her niece, Connie Clark and husband David of Idaho; great-niece Angie Traina of North Carolina; great-nephew Joey Neely of Florida; and very special friends who cared for Ms. Alma, Sam, Bernie, Shanna, Sammy and Kristin Chamberlain. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for their special care.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Westbrook Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Win Callison. Burial will follow in Sylvania Cemetery.
