Alma Ford

Alma Jean Ford, 77, of Houston, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. She was born in Hickory Plains, Arkansas on November 26, 1934 to the late Edmond & Cora Ford.
As a young woman, Alma moved to East St. Louis, Illinois with her mother where she completed high school. She would later move to Council Bluffs, Iowa where she lived for over 35 years and retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. As a retiree, she ventured to Chandler, Arizona before taking residence in Houston, Texas.
She is preceded in death also by a total of 18 brothers and sisters. She leaves behind two daughters, Shirley Jackson of Houston TX and Regina Ford of Gold Canyon AZ; one son, Gary Ford of Boulder City, NV; one brother, Lenton Ford of Macon, MS; one sister, Nancy Rollins of Council Bluffs, IA; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and church families and friends.
Family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Hickory Plains, Arkansas.
