Andrew Thomas Gossett III

Andrew Thomas Gossett, III, of Benton, Arkansas passed away October 30, 2022 at his home.  He was born February 6, 1945, the son of Andrew Thomas Jr. and Mossie Norene Landreth Gossett.

Tommy graduated from South Side High School, Class of 1963 in Memphis.  Following graduation, he went to work on the Central Railroad in Memphis.  Tommy later began driving trucks for Consolidated Freight Ways, in Memphis and Benton, and retired after twenty-five years on the road.  Riding motorcycles was Tommy’s passion.  He and his wife, “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, started traveling and chasing sunsets across the United States.  They enjoyed life together.  Tommy wasn’t much of a cook, but when he was with someone cooking, he always added his special ingredient to make it even better.  Tommy loved his family and his extended family including all of his lodge brothers and his brothers in the motorcycle clubs.

Preceding Tommy in death are his beautiful wife, Donna Gossett-known as the “Yellow Rose of Texas”; parents, Andrew and Mossie Gossett; and step-son, Bobby Buck.

Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters:  Angie (Larry) Taylor and Shawn (Danny) Rider; son, Jerry (Whitney) Buck; grandchildren:  Venssa (Gary), Jerry (Erca), John (Nicole), Amanda, Kristen (Billy), Matthew (Angel), Andrew, and Keeley; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many family members and friends who love Tommy and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00, Saturday, March 18, 2023, followed by memorial service, officiated by Rev. Kim Hammer, at 11:00 AM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.
