Ann Bradford

March 23, 1941 — April 20, 2017

Ann Bradford

On Thursday morning, April 20, 2017 a clear call from Heaven was given for God's angels to bring the soul of Dorothy Ann Ward Bradford to be delivered before the throne of God.

In her many years of service to her fellow man and as a witness of God's love, she lived life to the fullest. Whether a word of encouragement to a person down and out, or to a patient who sought to be made better from an illness, she always had a smiling face. Now that the God-like spirit that she possessed has departed this place, if you look carefully you can see a glimpse of that love and care being shared by others.

Ann was born in Tuckerman, Arkansas on Sunday, March 23, 1941 to William and O'Neal McReynolds. She attended Tuckerman Public Schools and graduated Newport High School. Ann became a nurse, working at Rebsamen Hospital for three years, then for Drs. Kinley & Norris until 2004. After her retirement from nursing, she worked as a door greeter at Walmart in Cabot and Beebe. She loved watching westerns, reading, sewing, shopping and keeping up with Donald.

She is survived by her son, Donald Ward (Carla), grandchildren William Ward (Alicia), Madison Ward, Fallon Campbell, and Jeroime Campbell; great-grandchildren Kaiden Ward, Landon Rettig and Warren Ward; special friend Teresa McCartney; and a host of friends and patients.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Hugh D. Ward, Sr. and O.D. Bradford; daughter Martha Campbell; and granddaughter Ashley Craig.

Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. There will be a private burial. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
