Ann Carter, 79, of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013. Born in Little Rock to Lawrence and Sarah Renda Sweeney, she was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church and retired from Life and Casualty Insurance Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Emmett Ray Forrester, daughter, Anna Marie Carter, and brothers, John Paul Sweeney and Raymond Sweeney. She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Weaver of Mayflower and Rae Ann Moles of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Eric R. Woods and Jennifer M. Moles of Little Rock, and Regina A. Weaver of Mayflower; and several nieces, nephews and cousins whom she dearly loved. Known to all as "Aunt Sissy," she was always the life of the party and made the best chocolate pies. She loved to play the piano, go fishing and spend time with her family.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7:00 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Phillip Reaves on Monday, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Souls, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock.
