Ann Jeanette Larkin, age 77, of Glenwood, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was born on June 19, 1935, at Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Charles Louis Ferchaud and Katherine Marie Schuh Ferchaud. On February 28, 1972, she was married to Jerome Allen Larkin. She was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Prietto and Tony Prietto; and one brother, Dick Ferchaud. As a child she was a member of the original cast of the movie The Wizard of Oz, where she played one of the munchkins. Her role, as the middle munchkin in the scene with three dancing munchkins, is still watched and enjoyed by young and old today. She was the Director of our Lady of the Lake Preschool in Lake Arrowhead, California and was Catholic in her faith. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling. She and her husband traveled the United States for three years in their motor home before moving to Glenwood seven years ago. She is survived by her husband, Jerome Allen Larkin of Glenwood; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Carol Prietto of Colville, Washington, Mike and Mia Prietto of Tacoma, Washington, Phil and Valerie Prietto of Olympia, Washington and Vic and Gail Prietto of Three Oaks, Michigan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Todd Evans of Long Beach, California and Chris and Richard Bishop of Glenwood; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ellen Ferchaud of Red Bluff, California; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held in Lake Arrowhead, California at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
