Ann Yvonne Green Russell, 85, passed to her Heavenly home on Friday, September 26, 2025, while at her home in Bryant, surrounded by her husband Bill and loving family.
Ann was born on February 14th, 1940, in Bryant, the oldest daughter of William Felton (Pete) and Leonora (McDaniel) Green. She was a proud graduate of Bryant High School, class of 1958. She was an example of determination, strength, and resilience. Ann had a way of making anyone she met instantly feel like family.
She married her high school sweetheart, Bill, on September 19, 1959, and recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Their marriage was filled with love, and their devotion to one another was visible to all who knew them.
Ann retired from First Baptist Church of Bryant after 38 years of service as the church secretary, where she was a church member for 76 years. She was a talented artist, specifically when painting and working with mosaics. She was well known for being an incredible cook and was always making something special for someone she cared for. Ann was most proud of her family, and she was truly a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend who was best known to everyone as “Grannie”; all those around her felt the immense love she had for them and will forever be impacted by her love.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Russell, Daughter Suzanne Bagwell and husband Randy, Son Mitchell Russell and wife Donna, Daughter-in-law Konnie Russell, Granddaughters Stephanie Caldwell (Josh), Cecily Ritchie (James), and China Simon (Clay).
