Ann Louise Wetzel, age 70, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on September 25, 2014.
Born October 21, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Earl Leroy and Dorothy Wetzel. Ann lived in several states and Puerto Rico, finally settling in Texas after marriage to Anthony Yates, where she lived until recently.
She is predeceased by her father, Earl Wetzel. She is survived by her mother Dorothy; her sisters Martha Wetzel and Kathy Lorie; three children: Rebecca Montgomery and her husband, Curtis; Lonnie Yates and his wife, Melinda; and Alicia Yates. Three grandsons, Christopher Yates and his wife, Nikole; Ian Yates; and Ryan Montgomery and his wife, Jessica. Two great-grandsons, Hayden and Hudson Yates, and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Montgomery. As well as numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all the medical personnel in Idaho and Arkansas who have helped with this final journey.
A private celebration of her life will be held at the VFW Hall in Denton, Texas on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at noon. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local cat rescue organization, your local hospice, or to Caringbridge.org
