Anna Maggie Burns Benton, age 99, died March 1, 2008, at Baptist Hospital in Arkadelphia. She was born November 18, 1908. Mrs. Benton and her husband, Ernest Edward Benton, ran Benton's Grocery, the small grocery store across from Goza Jr. High, from 1944 until 1978. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rose Marie Smith and her husband, Robert Lee Smith, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Echols, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be a graveside service at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
