Ann Elizabeth Welborn, age 90 of Mabelvale, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at her home in Mabelvale. She was born on July 15, 1922 in Collierville, Tennessee; she was the daughter of Henry Crenshaw and Rachel Hull. She was a school teacher for several years in Mississippi and Arkansas, and served as secretary for Churches of Christ in Nevada, Missouri, Hayti, Missouri, and Stuttgart Arkansas. She was a devoted teacher of the Ladies Bible Class at the Sandstone Drive Church of Christ in Little Rock, Arkansas. She taught international Bible correspondence courses for students from around the world. She was the author of articles in religious journals, such as In Search of Truth and The Christian Woman. She devoted herself to her nine grandchildren and great-grantdaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband Clary Henning Welborn, and her sisters Mary Crenshaw, Lillian Crenshaw, and Eunice Crenshaw. Survivors include her son Larry Welborn, her daughters Mary Ann Case and Deborah Wallace, and her grandchildren John Case, Rachel Bates, Locke Welborn, Matthew Case, Lauren Davenport, Mark Welborn, Luke Case, Megan Wallace, Angela Case, and her great-granddaughter Olivia Bates. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7 at the Sandstone Drive Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 6, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the Huson Funeral Home, 6400 Mabelvale Pike. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sandstone Drive Church of Christ Youth Group. May light eternal shine upon her with all of the saints.
