Anthony "Tony" Kennedy

Anthony (Tony) Karl Kennedy, 67, of McRae, Arkansas was born October 26, 1957, to Kern and Katherine (Bullard) Kennedy, and unexpectedly passed away August 30, 2025.

Tony is survived by his wife, Donna Kennedy; Brandy Burge, daughter of (Vickie Swarthout) of Ward, Arkansas, and stepdaughter Jessie Williams (Tracy) of Morrilton, Arkansas; sister, Kathy Kennedy of Columbia, Missouri; and brothers, Randy Kennedy of McRae, Arkansas and Perry Kennedy of Florence, Alabama.

Tony graduated from Cabot High School in 1975. Tony retired from a long career working as a rural mail carrier for the US postal service. A life-long musician (playing piano), during his retirement, in addition to playing in Arkansas, he enjoyed traveling across the US and to Europe entertaining at Americana music festivals. Tony was also an avid gardener, a great cook, enjoyed fishing, story-telling and was the family comedian.

He made the world a better place with his great sense of humor, contagious laugh, generosity, and the magic he could create using his hands to make music. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be Saturday, September 27, at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Drive, Beebe, Arkansas.
