Arthur John Meade Jr.

Arthur John Meade Jr. 94, of Conway, Arkansas, Formerly of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Friday, November 4, 2016. Born June 6, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur John Meade Sr. and Josephine Marie Tribout Meade. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, aboard the U.S.S. Herndon (DD 638), and the U.S.S. Cowie, (DD 632). He received an Honorable Discharge as a Seaman First Class. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1, Arkansas. He retired from Uniroyal, St. Louis District in November 1987. He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, of Conway. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Rosemary Ann Meade, parents, Arthur J. Meade Sr., Josephine Marie Tribout Meade. His sister Betty Brink, Cora Teare Sullivan, Eleanor Thompson, Maryetta Ayers. He is survived by a son, Arthur John Meade III, of Conway, Arkansas and a daughter Mary Jo Meade of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
