Arvin Stokes

Arvin Franklin Stokes, 77 of Conway went to be with the Lord March 27, 2011. He was born September 9, 1933 in Brinkley, Arkansas; the son of Luther Stokes and Katie Gill-Stokes. Frank was a retired Auto Technician and a Marine Sergeant who served in the Korean Conflict, and was one of the six survivors of the Inchon Harbor Disaster. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother, and a daughter. Survivors include his daughter, Donna McClintock and husband Brent; sons Mark Stokes and Shaun Stokes and his wife Jenny; sister Wilma Rucker; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Brady, and Cora McClintock; Bradley and Brandon Stokes; Daniel Patchell; and Kylee and Tiffany Stokes; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock on Wednesday at 1PM.
