Ashley Nicole Penrod

Ashley Nicole Penrod, age 31, of Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

She was born on June 15, 1992, in Hot Springs.  Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Royce and Verna Moore and Bennie Ray and Dorothy Roberts.  

Ashley was a graduate of Kirby High School and obtained her CNA license and her Administrator license, dedicating herself to helping others in need. Her kind heart and unwavering dedication touched the lives of many.

Ashley always dreamed of finding that special someone who would love her unconditionally, and that dream came true when she met JJ Penrod and on May 8. 2021, she was married to her true love. Their marriage was the highlight of Ashley's life, as well as building a family together. Ashley's role as a wife and a mother brought immense joy to her heart.  As a stay-at-home mother, Ashley found true fulfillment in raising their precious daughter, Hadley Ruth Penrod.  She also cherished being a constant caregiver to her grandmother, Verna, and the two were inseparable.

Above all else, Ashley deeply loved her entire family and her world revolved around her husband and her baby girl, as well as the people she held dear to her heart.  Although our hearts are breaking that our precious Ashley had to leave us so soon, she will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved and cherished her.

Ashley is survived by her beloved husband, JJ Penrod; her adoring baby daughter, Hadley Ruth Penrod; her parents, Lesha and Mike Bell; and her brother, Andrew Hilton, all of Daisy; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Roger Cox and Harold Vaughn officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery, near Daisy.

Pallbearers will be Nathan McKnight, Cameron McKnight, Chuck McKnight, John Penrod, Kevin Burton, Brent Armstrong, Caleb Adams and Dalton Smith.
