Ashtyn Taylor McNeill, 22, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She departed from this life on October 5, 2024, leaving behind many memories woven with love and joy.
Ashtyn was a kind soul with a heart of gold who touched the lives of all she encountered. From a young age, she had an infectious smile that could light up a room, a reflection of her warm spirit and helping heart. Whether playing cards or creating colorful masterpieces through diamond art and puzzles, Ashtyn brought joy not only to herself but to those around her. Her dedication extended to her faith, as she was very committed to attending church, finding solace and purpose in her spiritual community.
A proud graduate of Cabot High School, class of 2021, Ashtyn exemplified determination and resilience. Throughout her journey, she was surrounded by the unwavering love of her family who will forever hold her memory close. She is survived by her devoted mother and father, Samantha Reynolds Scroggins and Russell Kyle McNeill (Melissa). Her siblings, Allison Paige McNeill and Gibson Kyle McNeill, were her confidants and playmates who shared countless moments of laughter and support. Ashtyn's grandmothers, Beverly Hearne (Dustin) and Linda Marks, were beacons of love in her life, providing guidance and strength.
Her immediate family also included her beloved aunt, Sarah Martin (Scott), and her cherished cousins, Arianna, Annabelle, and Abel, who adored her deeply. Ashtyn’s great-aunt, Cindy Brown, held a special place in her heart, and she will be missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Ashtyn is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jerry Reynolds and Dennis McNeill, and her uncle, Jay Brown. While their absence leaves a profound ache, the love and lessons they imparted carry on through the lives of those who remain.
In honor of Ashtyn’s beautiful spirit, a visitation will take place on October 12, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by her funeral service at 2:30 PM, both located at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). Following the service, Ashtyn will be laid to rest at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Searcy, Arkansas.
As we celebrate the life of Ashtyn Taylor McNeill, we remember not only her kindness and laughter but also the profound impact she made in our hearts. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the love, laughter, and cherished moments she shared with family and friends. May her legacy of love and compassion inspire us all to live with a similar heart.
