Aubry Travis, age 74, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
He was born on June 24, 1950, in Hot Springs, the son of Aubry and Lizzie M. Travis. On June 20, 1970, he was married to Betty Lou Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his in-laws; his son-in-law; his brother; his daughter; and his great-granddaughter.
He attended the Amity Community Methodist Church. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, and was dearly loved by all.
He is survived by one son, Lewis Travis of Glenwood; two daughters and son-in-law, Gracie of Gurdon and Aubrey and Jackie Tigue of Amity; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers and their spouses, Danny and Michelle Travis of Pearcy and David and Kathy Travis of Hot Springs; three sisters and their spouses, Barbara Sullivan of Malvern, Martha and Robert Ralph of Rogersville, Alabama and Joyce Lauhoff of Florence, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Billy Dean; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Tyler Travis, Rostin Travis, Jackie Tigue, Eric Tigue, Zachary Tigue, Donavan Huffman, Tracy Franklin, Jr., and Keith Lynchard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Forrest, Mike Homan, Kyle Tigue, and Toby Tigue.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday,
September 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Jones Cemetery with Bro. Glen Harris officiating.
