She worked for 25 years as a bookkeeper for E. Ray Smith, a builder in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She served as president and treasurer for the Arkansas Ceramic Association. Barbara was an amazing artist crafting ceramics and porcelain. She was asked at many Art Shows to paint the eyes on ceramics for other artists because of her gift to create life-like eyes. The details in her creations were exquisite. She attended many craft shows to sell her works of art. Barbara also entered her works of art into Fairs.
