Listen to Obituary

Barbara Ann Corbitt, 63, of Hot Springs, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas to James O. (Red) Corbitt and Verna (Akin) Corbitt.

Barbara attended multiple Adult Education programs over the years with the most recent being at First Step Arkansas of Hot Springs, a residential housing program for adults with disabilities where she made many friends. Barbara was a very loving person who gave hugs to people she adored. She spent her time playing with Randy her cat, computer games, watching Godzilla movies, going to the casino, and asking “Alexa” many questions! She loved McDonald’s Frappuccinos and could’ve eaten grilled cheese sandwiches from Sonic every day. She was a Baptist and attended church with her friends every Sunday until most recently as her health declined.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father James O. (Red) Corbitt, mother Verna (Akin) Corbitt and her brother James O. (Jim) Corbitt, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Linda Wheeler Mays and Karen Corbitt.
