Barbara Jean Frost, 75, of Traskwood, was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 28, 1950 in Wharton, Texas to the late Graham and Sophie Kutach Ezell.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mama, granny, GiGi, sister, and friend. She loved her family dearly and expressed her love in countless ways through her cooking and the way she cared for everyone around her. Every Sunday after church, the family gathered to share a meal she lovingly prepared.
She and Papa were the perfect team when it came to wood work. They have worked many days and hours building heirlooms for their children and grandchildren that will be cherished forever. Papa would build it and Granny would do all the painting and staining.
Barbara was a hard worker, always willing to lend a helping hand.
She was a member of Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she devoted many years to teaching the 2&3 year old Sunday School Class, along with volunteering in many other church activities.
Barbara graduated in 1968 from Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bill Frost; one daughter, Shannon McCutcheon (Sean); one son, Bryan Frost (Leslie); five grandchildren: Jeremy McCutcheon (Chrystal), Lindsey Harnage (Justin), Lauren Garrett (Justin), Kennedy Frost, and Karley Frost; eight great-grandchildren: Gracie, Bella, Daxton, Lillie, Ollie, Jud, Sophie Jo, and Jarred; two sisters: Martha Turner (George) and Clara Holly; one brother, Larry Ezell (Sherrie); along with many family and friends who loved her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Graham and Sophie Ezell; and two brothers: Bobby Ezell and Bill Ezell.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM, followed by memorial service, officiated by Bro. Todd Bray and Bro. Don McCutcheon, at 3:00 PM, at Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2382 Reyburn Creek Road, Malvern, Arkansas 72104.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church Youth Group.
