Barbara Ann Meyers, born on September 11, 1938, departed this life on December 28, 2025, at the age of 87. She was a cherished daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother who touched the hearts of many throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Hot Springs Beauty College, Barbara was known for her passion for hairstyling, owning her own salon, Barbara’s Hair Styles.
On September 25, 1961, she married her beloved husband, Bill Meyers, in Reno, NV. Together, they faced life's challenges with unwavering strength and love. In 1964, they suffered a tragic loss when the Eel River flood in Weott, CA, took everything from them. Demonstrating remarkable fortitude, the family relocated to Arkansas in 1966, moving in a billet logging truck with five children and two cats, where they built a new life.
Barbara had a deep love for thrifting and fishing.
She is survived by her brother, Kevin Sellers, and his wife, Valerie, from Washington State; Her children: Howard Sellars and his wife, Tracy, of Meadow Vista, CA; Diana DeWitt and her husband, Tommy, of Las Vegas, NV; Joanna Brengle and her husband, Brian, of Hot Springs, AR; Greg Meyers and his wife, Stacie, of Hot Springs, AR; and Lyndon Meyers and his wife, Janet, of Aubrey, TX. Barbara was blessed with grandchildren Howard, Wendy, and Randy Sellers; Amanda and Danielle DeWitt; Roxanne Clampit; Joshua Gossage; Christian Bearden; Chance Colier; Jared, Jordan, and Jenlyn Meyers; as well as a host of great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Meyers; her son, William (Rocky) Hayward; her sisters, Linda Shea, Beverly Cowart, and Kimberly Sellers; her brothers, Richard and Anthony Sellers; and her parents, George Brown and Lola Sellers.
A graveside service will be held in Barbara's honor on January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery located at 533 Danville Rd., Hot Springs, AR 71901. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity in Barbara’s honor.
