Barbara Jean Nelson

Barbara Jean Nelson, born September 6th, 1945, to the beloved daughter of Harrison Leroy "Roy" Roofener and Evelyn Louise Derrington was called home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2025. 

She lived a full and abundant life with seven siblings. She brought life to three beautiful daughters: Shonda L. Davis, Diana L. Graham and Javona L. Willis. 

She was proceeded in death by 3 cherished grandbabies. However she leaves behind a beautiful living legacy of 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She's survived by one son from another mother and a host of other family and fiends who cherish the life and time of Mrs. Barbara Jean Nelson affectionately know to many as "Granny".

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, beginning at 4:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
