Listen to Obituary

Barbara Ann Scott, 83, of Sherwood, joined the angels in Heaven on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was born in 1941, in El Paso, Arkansas, to the late J. Bedford Stone and Macil Taylor Stone. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sherri Moore, and her sister, Mary Lou Brown. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Arthur Scott, her son's James Scott and John Scott of Sherwood, her beloved sister, Wanda Simmons (Jimmie) of Greenbriar, nieces Sheila Brown, Becky Brown Kimmie Pitchford, Teresa Jackson (Greenbriar) and nephew John Paul Simmons (Carrie) Greenbriar; grandchildren: Chris Scott (Amanda) Kenny Herlacher (Kayla), Brittany Scott, Meagan Scott and host of great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; sisters-in-law Johnnie Black (Heber Springs) and Norma Verant (Jerry) Ft. Myers, FL whom she loved dearly.

She fought a long battle with Alzheimer's and had been in hospice care at home where her husband and sons took great care of her. The family would like to thank the outstanding support and care that Baptist Hospice LR provided and became like family during her illness. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan, loved to cook, and would help anyone that needed her help. She was strong believer in her Christian Faith, and we all know she is Heaven now, even though she will be missed tremendously. She worked many years at the Camp Robinson MWR Canteen where she always said she had 100's of more sons and daughters from the base.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the North Little Rock Moose Lodge #942, 4000 East Kiehl Ave in Sherwood, AR, in the ballroom from 1pm - 3pm. All family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the North Little Rock Moose Lodge #942 and then a check will be given to Baptist Hospice LR.
