Barbara Stearns

Barbara Jean Griffith Stearns of North Little Rock passed away November 28, 2017. She was born May 31, 1945 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Bob and Agnes Griffith. Barb was also preceded in death by her brother, Randy Griffith and niece, Courtney Begin.
For anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Barb, her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed. She always found a way to put a smile on your face because she genuinely wanted to strike up a friendship with as many people as she could. Barb has close friendships all over the country because of her infectious attitude. She never met a stranger, nor did she allow you to consider her as one.
Barb had an innate ability to make others feel as if they were the most important person in the world. We, as her family, would often laugh that she could go anywhere and instantly make three new friends. Simply put, she was a one-person welcoming committee to all.
Although the pain of her loss is what we tend to measure, let us never forget what she gave to us, with her contagious smile, laughter, love and loyalty; that is what she would want us to treasure.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Donald "Ted" Stearns; two sons: Rob Stearns & wife Valerie and Ryan Stearns and wife Candice; sisters: Peggy Mooney and husband Kim, Sharon Parker and husband Dan; brother, Ronny Griffith; and four precious grandchildren she adored: Dane, Macee, Dylan and Kellan Stearns.
Special thanks to the incredible medical team in CCU at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock for the care given and the prayers that they shared with us.
