Barbara J. Chitwood Winkler, age 76, of Arkadelphia, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home. She was born October 9, 1939 in Curtis, Arkansas to the late John Russell and Syble Freeman Chitwood. Barbara was a restaurant hostess in her earlier years and later worked with Health Homecare. She was a volunteer with the Senior Specialist Program.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Robert Chitwood.
Survivors are one brother, David Russell Chitwood and wife, Joy of Curtis; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Chitwood of Arkadelphia; a niece, Lisa Taylor; three nephews, Roger Chitwood, Brad Chitwood and John David Chitwood; several great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 am Monday, June 6th at Harts Chapel Cemetery near Curtis. Visitation will be 9 until 10 am Monday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Memorials may made to the Clark County Humane Society, 627 Walnut St. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
