Bayard (Pee Wee) Godwin, 94, of Romance, Arkansas, was born October 2, 1914, at Teneha, Texas to Frank and Addie Godwin and passed away Friday, October 17, 2008 at his home in Romance. He grew up in East Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana where he worked in the grocery business and for Holsum Bakery. He was a Christian and a member of The Bible Church of Cabot, a veteran and served in World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Georgia Fox Godwin and three children. Bayard is survived by his wife of thirty years, Mary Godwin of the home; two daughters, Beverly Reed of Romance, and Martha Humphrey of Haughton, Louisiana; one daughter in law, Carolyn Godwin of Shreveport, Louisiana; one sister, Lois Corry of Lufkin, Texas; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
