Bennie Sue C. Lambert

Bennie Sue C. Lambert, age 87, of Hot Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. She was born on July 14, 1929 in Glenwood, the daughter of Floyd Collier and Etter Ballard Collier. On June 1, 1946, she married Fay Lambert, who preceded her in death on May 14, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bob D. Lambert; her parents; and ten brothers and sisters. Sue was a member of the Glory Barn Church. She was a homemaker and also worked for many years in cafeteria service with the Hot Springs School District. She loved writing letters, gardening, cooking, canning and hymnal music. Sue loved children and animals. She had the ability to meet people and make them into lifelong friends. She shared her faith in God by singing, by hospitality and kindness to all. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dana Lambert of Hot Springs; two grandchildren; Becky Lambert of Hot Springs and Don and Victoria Lambert of Calgary, Canada; four great-grandchildren, Jake Palmer, Jaci Palmer and Jami Palmer, all of Hot Springs and Sebastian Lambert of Calgary, Canada; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Jess Gideon officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday evening. Pallbearers will be Tommy Collier, Bill Duke, Mickey Newcomb, Edgar Ragsdale, Ardy Tackett and Owen Warford. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and residents of West Shores Retirement Center, Arkansas Hospice, her CHI, St. Vincent, Hot Springs medical team and her nieces and nephews.
