Berniece Dyess age 78 of Arkadelphia died Monday, May 19, 2008 in Little Rock. She was born November 20, 1929 in Mt. Ida, AR. the daughter of Earl and Callie Warren Ware. Mrs. Dyess was a salesperson at J. C. Penney's and Hallmark Crown Shop in Arkadelphia and a member of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Dyess; one brother, Murrell Ware and one sister, Alene Martin.
Survivors include two sons, Brad Dyess and wife Debbie of Donaldson, AR; Gregg Dyess of Batesville, AR; five sisters, Thelma Shepherd of Arkadelphia; Hazel Hixon of Donaldson; Earlene Roles of Hot Springs; Linda Martin of Zachary, LA; Ginger Davis of Friendship, AR; one granddaughter, Angela Staley and one great-granddaughter Madison Staley.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charlie Williams officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
